Kinds of tea
- Green Tea: Fresh, grassy and lightly sweet. The leaves are not oxidized, and are steamed or pan-fired to keep their bright colour and delicate flavour.
- Black Tea: Bold, malty and full-bodied. Fully oxidized leaves give black tea its deep colour and rich flavour, great with or without milk.
- Oolong Tea: Between green and black. Partially oxidized leaves range from light and floral to roasted and toasty, and can be brewed many times.
- White Tea: Delicate, soft and subtly sweet. Made from young buds and leaves that are only withered and dried, with minimal processing.
- Yellow Tea: Rare, mellow and smooth. A Chinese tea that is lightly piled and covered after the leaves are fixed, which takes away the grassy edge of green tea.
- Herbal Tea: Infusions of flowers, herbs, fruit and spices. Strictly speaking not tea, and usually caffeine-free, so perfect for the evening.
- Pu-erh Tea: Earthy, smooth and deep. A fermented and aged tea from Yunnan that develops more character over time.
